We’re excited to be partnering with GObike Buffalo and the Mass Ave Project to raffle off a one-of-a-kind wooden bike at this year’s Tour de Farms event on September 15th.

The Tour de Farms is a bicycle tour of local urban and rural farms highlighting and celebrating sustainable transportation and our connection to the local food system.

Please join us for a great ride, fun party, and chance to own a beautiful custom hardwood bicycle.  The raffle tickets are $25 each and the proceeds support the work of both GObike Buffalo and the Mass Ave Project.

This bike is especially unique as it incorporates much more carbon fiber than any of our other frames.  The frame is constructed using layers of carbon fiber which during the machining process turn into crisp black pinstripes within the wood.  This is complimented by a custom machined carbon fiber brake mount bracket on the rear which adds both looks and performance.  All of these features are built upon the already high-tech Normal Bicycles frame which comes standard with carbon fiber lined hardwood tubing.  The result is a stiff and relatively lightweight frame with the characteristically solid ride feel that comes from the hard maple.

The frame is a hybrid style, based on a road bike geometry which is tailored for a more comfortable upright riding position. The bike is a size large and will fit riders from roughly 5’10” to about 6’3″ tall.  It has 700cx25 wheels and tires, flat bars, and a SRAM 11-speed drivetrain set up for comfortable cruising or touring on roads and bike paths.

The Tour de Farms event is a bicycle tour of local urban and rural farms highlighting and celebrating sustainable transportation and our connection to the local food system. This is the 10th year for the event and with it come some exciting changes.  New routes will take riders through various parts of downtown Buffalo, or out to East Aurora and back.  The celebration afterward will be held in the park across the street from the Mass Ave Project’s brand new farmhouse where there will be food, drinks, and entertainment.

We hope to see you there!
